01/12/2023 (Malaysia) - Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Berhad, known as "Takaful Malaysia," unveiled KAOTIM, a new digital platform and brand managed by the company. This digital initiative aimed to enhance the insurance and takaful mobility experience, offering a secure and streamlined process for customers. KAOTIM provided an online platform for MediKad, an affordable all-in-one medical coverage plan for Malaysians.
The launch event included key figures such as Dato’ Mohammed Hussein, Group Chairman of Takaful Malaysia, and Nor Azman Zainal, Group Chief Executive Officer of Takaful Malaysia. Nor Azman highlighted the strategic importance of KAOTIM in meeting evolving customer expectations and transforming the insurance and takaful industry with digital solutions.
KAOTIM aimed to facilitate seamless online transactions and expand Takaful Malaysia's retail direct business. It offered the cost-effective MediKad plan, ensuring cashless admissions to panel hospitals, unlimited hospital admission days, and daily income for government hospital stays. Customers aged 6 to 69 could easily enroll online without medical check-ups.
Nor Azman emphasized the accessibility and convenience of KAOTIM, allowing customers to sign up and get coverage within minutes. This digital platform aimed to provide Malaysians with a low-cost medical coverage solution, addressing the challenges of high medical costs.
