06/07/2023 (Seri Kembangan, Malaysia) - Back in 2014, Les’ Copaque had released an short animated series titled Puteri. Puteri tells the story of five princesses living in the Kingdom of Limau. These five princesses are Puteri Limau Manis, Puteri Limau Kasturi, Puteri Limau Purut, Puteri Limau Bali, and Puteri Limau Nipis. Their characteristics and names are derived from the types of citrus fruits their mother consumed during pregnancy. Each of them possesses a unique magical power and weapon.

Puteri is a short serial animation produced by Les’ Copaque Production animation company. The animation was aired on TV3 on 20 November 2014, at 9 pm.

The Puteri series portrays the lives of five princesses in the Kingdom of Limau - Manis, with her melodious voice; Kasturi, with the heart of a warrior; Purut, who is very shy; Bali, who is compassionate; and Nipis, the naughty one with her beloved cat named Jebat. Each of these five siblings possesses remarkable abilities which, when combined, can maintain peace and harmony in the kingdom by defeating evil threats, mystical creatures, and dark magic.

Three days ago, Les’ Copaque released a "teaser" for their new animated film titled Puteri Limau. The "teaser" displayed on Twitter is a picture of a princess named Puteri Manis. Puteri Manis mark the second teaser out of the five princess, where Les' Copaque had already previously released a teaser for a slightly more "tomboy" princess named Puteri Kasturi.

The animation for the new film display a drastic improvement over the previous short animation series. However the prolonged release date for the animation film did leave some fans speculating whether the film had previously enter production hell.

The much older demographic target of Puteri Limau mark a significant change of demographic for Les' Copaque which was known for creating animation IP for a much younger children age group with their most notable IP being the children animated show Upin Ipin.
