MALAYSIA, 08/10/2024 (Asia News Channels) - The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has resolved an issue within the MyJPJ application that mistakenly displayed the message "non-Malaysians are ineligible" to some motorcycle license holders. This error affected individuals holding B1 and B2 licenses who were attempting to verify their eligibility under the Special Transition Programme to Class B.
JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli announced today that the app has been updated, and those affected by the message can now recheck their status by logging out and back into the app. "They can then verify their eligibility status under the Eligibility Check for the Special Transition Programme to Class B tab," Aedy Fadly confirmed.
The issue was highlighted after several users reported confusion and dissatisfaction when they encountered the error while trying to access the programme. The programme is designed for eligible B1 and B2 motorcycle license holders seeking to transition to a Class B license.
In response, Aedy Fadly reassured the public that the programme remains available and that there is no urgency to rush for registration. "There is no specific deadline or time limit for the programme," he stated. He further emphasized that all participating driving institutes have been instructed to accept every valid application.
Previously, it was reported that 3.33 million B1 and B2 license holders are eligible for the programme, which is available at 139 driving institutes across Malaysia. A list of these institutes can be accessed by scanning a QR code provided on JPJ’s official Facebook page.
