THAILAND, 21/08/2024 (Asia News Channels) - China Three Gorges International Corporation and Good Innovation Corporation recently presented a significant renewable energy project to the Thai parliament's Subcommittee on Science, Technology, Research, and Innovation. The project, known as the ESSS Farm, aims to develop clean, renewable energy sources and requires an estimated investment of 300 billion baht (approximately $9 billion).

The initiative was led by prominent figures including Dr. Pon Thappintakorn, Assistant Professor Dr. Tik Bunnag, Secretary-General of China Smart Energy Industry Alliance (CSEIA), Mr. Meng Qingcun, and Mr. Wang Zhuang. The companies are seeking governmental support to facilitate the project, which integrates solar, wind, and free energy systems with battery storage. The energy produced by solar panels will be supplemented by wind and free energy units, ensuring continuous energy generation and storage.

Complementing this effort, the China Smart Energy Industry Alliance (CSEIA) plays a key role the presentation, with their mission of shaping the future of smart energy. Formed by leading entities like State Power Investment Corporation, China Electricity Council, and other major stakeholders across the public and private sectors, the alliance is dedicated to creating national standards, developing smart energy technologies, and driving industrial collaboration. Through major demonstration projects, international exchanges, and Belt and Road market development, the CSEIA fosters the growth of the global smart energy ecosystem, aligning closely with the objectives of the energy initiative.

Thailand's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 aligns with the objectives of this project. The ESSS Farm initiative aims to support this target by promoting the adoption of clean, renewable energy across various sectors, including industry, local governance, and agriculture.

Good Innovation Corporation holds multiple patents related to renewable energy technologies, including the cyclic motor generator and renewable electric vehicles. These innovations form the foundation of the ESSS Farm project, which is set to be a key driver in Thailand’s transition to sustainable energy.

In the first five years, the project aims to establish clean energy farms across Thailand, focusing on key sectors such as industrial parks, local governments, and aquaculture. With a target of generating over 17,000 megawatts of clean energy, the initiative is poised to contribute significantly to Thailand's energy mix while fostering economic growth and sustainability.
