26/07/2023 (Malaysia) - Malaysia-based Catcha Digital lifted its GN2 status, raising RM29.7M through Rights Issue for expansion in Southeast Asia. The raised capital completed their regularisation plans. Catcha Digital aims to become the leading digital group in Southeast Asia. Eric Tan, CEO, expressed confidence in attracting top digital and software companies to consolidate their position.
Wholly owned by iMedia Asia, Catcha Digital focuses on digital media, advertising, and software industries. Chairman Patrick YKin Grove thanked shareholders for their support during regularisation. They now plan to build and scale the company further.
Recently, Catcha Digital launched "i-Gov" to develop tech solutions and software for Malaysia's government and public sector. Futu Holdings expanded its moomoo platform into Malaysia, promoting financial inclusion for investors. The platform offers lifelong access to educational resources, market data, and a supportive global community for Malaysian investors.
