MALAYSIA, 27/06/2024 (Asia News Channels) - CapitaLand has announced the debut of Tesla’s Cybertruck in Penang, marking Tesla's first showcase in the region. The exhibition, taking place at Gurney Plaza from June 21 to 30, 2024, and at Queensbay Mall from July 2 to 14, 2024, offers a unique opportunity for shoppers and electric vehicle enthusiasts to explore Tesla's latest models.

From now until June 30, visitors at Gurney Plaza can view the Tesla Cybertruck, known for its "Armor Glass" and ultra-hard stainless-steel exoskeleton. Additionally, Tesla’s Model 3 Performance and Model Y will be available for test drives at the Ground Floor Centre Atrium. This initiative aims to bring cutting-edge electric vehicle technology closer to the Northern region’s consumers.

In conjunction with the event, Tesla Malaysia has launched its first V4 Supercharging stations in Penang at Gurney Plaza. These new stations feature an updated design and longer charging cables, allowing for more convenient use. The V4 Supercharger can recharge the Model 3 up to 282km in just fifteen minutes with peak rates of 250 kWh per vehicle.
Selina Ng, Head of Retail at CapitaLand Investment (Malaysia), expressed excitement over the collaboration with Tesla Malaysia, stating: "As one of the leading mall operators in Malaysia, we aim to offer exclusive and first-of-its-kind experiences to our shoppers. The Tesla showcase, especially the Cybertruck exhibit, is expected to captivate Penangites."
Isabel Fan, Tesla's Regional Director, highlighted the significance of the partnership with CapitaLand, inviting the public to experience Tesla vehicles and the new V4 Supercharging stations at Gurney Plaza. She emphasized Tesla’s commitment to enhancing the driving experience for their customers in Penang.
The Tesla Cybertruck and Model 3 will be on display at Queensbay Mall from July 2 to 7, followed by the Model 3 and Model Y from July 8 to 14.
CapitaLand's extensive retail network in Malaysia includes seven malls, such as Gurney Plaza, Queensbay Mall, and others in major cities.
